That's what he has been for the last few years until Nadal came along. With a victory at the Madrid Masters he's kickstarted his claycourt season but what that will mean at the French Open is anyone's guess. Good luck RF, this could be your last chance!

had federer beat nadal on clay earlier? i don't remember.. french open is going to be fun :)
yes, federer had beaten nadal at the hamburg masters 2 years ago but went on to lose really badly at the french! so sad! yes, french open will be a lot of fun but greater tension!
